Find Clark County Booking Photos

A mugshot of a released Clark County inmate documents booking, not guilt, sentence completion, present custody, or community release. The live CCDC search may stop showing a person after exit, while an identified booking photograph can remain in the agency’s underlying case file. To find a Clark County booking photo, start with the custodian that created it. LVMPD records handles CCDC material, city jails have their own records routes, and NDOC may retain a state-offender image. Pair any photo with the court disposition and actual release record before drawing a conclusion.

Clark County Released Mugshot Sources

No official countywide gallery of released-inmate mugshots was identified. CCDC’s public search is designed for current custody. A live result may display a photograph, but the explanatory page does not guarantee one and does not offer a released-photo archive. Once the name drops from the roster, use the agency record rather than an unofficial image collection.

Local news may reproduce an agency image, but it is secondary and can be stale. Commercial mugshot sites are not authoritative release sources.

Request Clark County Booking Photos

For a CCDC booking, use the LVMPD public-records process. Identify the exact booking whenever possible. Include the full legal name, aliases tied to that booking, inmate or booking number, case number, and approximate booking date. Ask for the booking photograph associated with that event and the matching release or movement record.

  1. Confirm which jail created the photograph.
  2. Gather the booking ID, case number, name, and date range.
  3. Submit the request to that jail or police records custodian.
  4. Ask for an electronic copy where practical and request a fee estimate.
  5. Pair the image with actual release date, disposition, and destination fields.
  6. If denied or redacted, read the cited authority and available response process.

The Clark County central portal says the county is not the custodian of police, detention, or court records. A Las Vegas, Henderson, North Las Vegas, Mesquite, or Boulder City matter must go to the correct city or police channel.

Clark County Mugshot Retention

Nevada’s local-government schedule expressly includes mugshots and identifying photographs in jail inmate case files under LRDA 2007-828. Those files also include entry and release records, transfers, orders, fingerprints, work-release records, and prerelease agreements. The schedule retains them for 85 calendar years after release or transfer, or until confirmed death, whichever occurs first. Legal holds can suspend destruction.

That long records trail does not create a public online gallery. It supports a focused archive request to the proper custodian. Confidentiality, sealing, juvenile rules, protective custody, security concerns, and protected personal details can limit production. The office can redact protected material while producing a lawful remainder where feasible.

A separate schedule for a current roster does not erase the underlying case file. The roster can disappear soon after an update while the booking photo remains managed as an agency record.

Verify Clark County Photo Identity

A photograph without its record can be misidentified or detached from the wrong booking. Compare the official booking or offender number, full name, booking date, originating case, and facility. Do not identify a person from facial resemblance alone. Multiple Clark County agencies can hold people with similar names, and an old image may predate the event being researched.

The CCDC screen shown below is the official current-custody starting point, not a released-photo archive.

After the person leaves that view, request the specific image and movement record from LVMPD. The court docket can then supply the legal disposition tied to the case.

NDOC Clark County Offender Photos

The NDOC offender portal may retain a photograph and state-offender data after prison exit or parole. It searches by offender ID or first and last name and offers separate Demographic, Alias, Booking, Parole, and Release downloads. Join those records only with the official offender identifier.

The official interface shown below supports a Clark County state-prison photo search and release-record check.

NDOC calls the portal raw data and disclaims error-free status. A state photo does not prove that the person was booked at CCDC. Contact NDOC Family Services at 775-977-5707 when identity, date, or status details conflict.

Photos Do Not Prove Release

A booking photo records intake. It does not prove guilt, conviction, sentence length, release, transfer, or current custody. Pair it with the court disposition and the detention or corrections movement record. A dismissal, bond release, time-served event, transfer to NDOC, parole movement, and full discharge are distinct outcomes.

Booking photograph
An identifying image made during intake.
Disposition
The court or agency result associated with the charge or booking.
Release record
The custodian’s entry showing actual date, time, type, and destination.
Transfer
Movement to another custodian while detention continues.
Record sealing
Nevada’s process limiting ordinary public access to qualifying records.

For a named-person release verification, use the Clark County released inmate search. The photo is supporting identity material, never the status answer by itself.

Clark County Sealed Photo Limits

Nevada generally uses record sealing rather than broad adult expungement. NRS Chapter 179 governs eligibility, procedure, and effect. Waiting periods and exclusions vary, so no single timeline applies. Clark County removes sealed cases from ordinary internet access, though statutory exceptions and internal government retention can remain.

No Nevada-specific pay-to-remove mugshot statute was identified in the official NRS research. Do not promise automatic deletion from every copy or cite an unrelated privacy law. A sealing order directed to named custodians, a correction request, ordinary remedies, and a publisher’s policy may each matter.

NRS 179A.160 provides a defined correction or removal process for certain favorable dispositions, subject to exceptions. Anyone seeking correction should use the originating agency’s process and official court documents. Juvenile, protected, and security-sensitive images may be restricted from the outset.

Clark County Photo Request Limits

Requesting a booking photograph does not guarantee production. The custodian decides whether disclosure, redaction, a fee, or an exemption applies. Juvenile records, sealed matters, protected custody, security-sensitive images, medical information, victim details, and private identifiers can be withheld or limited. Ask the office to cite the legal basis if it denies access.

Nevada copy charges generally reflect actual cost unless another authority applies. Extraordinary use of personnel or technology can create additional charges. LVMPD lists research and redaction rates effective July 1, 2026, but the research found no universal flat price for a booking photograph. Ask for a written estimate and narrow the request to one identified booking.

The Nevada Public Records Act ordinarily requires action by the end of the fifth business day. That action can be production, custodian routing, a denial with authority, or written notice of an expected completion date. It does not guarantee that every image is delivered within five days.

Match Clark Photos to Dispositions

Clark County has several court systems. Eighth Judicial District Court handles felony and gross-misdemeanor cases and later sentencing activity. Justice Courts handle preliminary and lower-court criminal matters in their townships. Municipal Courts handle city misdemeanors in Las Vegas, Henderson, North Las Vegas, Mesquite, and Boulder City.

Search the correct docket by case number when possible. Minutes may show bail, own-recognizance release, dismissal, plea, judgment, probation, revocation, commitment to NDOC, or sealing. Those entries explain the legal path after the booking photo was taken. The jail movement record still supplies actual exit or transfer.

An old mugshot paired with a later dismissed or sealed matter can be especially misleading. Preserve the disposition date and source beside the image. If the court has restricted public access, respect that limit rather than relying on an older third-party copy.

Clark County City Jail Photos

A CCDC request does not reach every booking in the Las Vegas Valley. Las Vegas Detention Center handles city misdemeanor detainees. Henderson has city and contract populations. North Las Vegas operates its Community Correctional Center, while Mesquite Police manages its own detention path. Boulder City misdemeanor arrestees may be held at Henderson.

Send the photo request to the agency that created the booking. Include the city case number and detention dates. If a person later transferred to CCDC, there may be two intake records and two distinct photographs. Do not assume one image belongs to both events.

Henderson’s federal and immigration contracts also matter. A city-jail photo can document local intake even when the person later transfers to the U.S. Marshals or ICE. The receiving record, not the photo, determines whether custody continued.

Correct Clark County Photo Records

If an official image is attached to the wrong identity or booking, contact the office that published or produced it. Supply the record identifier, explain the specific mismatch, and attach authoritative court or agency documents. Ask for the office’s correction process. Do not ask another agency to alter a record it does not control.

For NDOC raw data, use the offender ID and identify the precise demographic, booking, parole, or release entry in dispute. NDOC Family Services can route the question. For CCDC material, use LVMPD records. A private publisher has its own policies and does not become an official custodian merely because it copied an image.

Keep the correction response with the photo and disposition. A documented amendment is more reliable than deleting context or substituting a new unsourced caption.

Use Clark Mugshots With Care

Preserve the agency name, booking number, booking date, and source URL with any lawful copy. Do not crop away identifiers needed to distinguish one booking from another. Avoid reproducing protected personal details that are not needed to verify identity.

If the image is used in a personal or legal effort to reconcile records, include the later disposition and release source. A neutral caption should say what the image documents and when. It should not claim guilt, current custody, or sentence completion.
