Clark County VINELink Replacement
Nevada’s Attorney General announced that NV S.A.V.E. went live on August 28, 2025. VINE stopped search and notification service at 8 a.m. on August 29, 2025. The current official portal is save.nv.gov. A 2026 search should not send a reader into the retired VINELink workflow or tell the reader to use the old telephone PIN process.
The official transition notice shown below confirms the change. It matters because copied VINE directions remain online even though Nevada now uses a different registration and confirmation flow.

The announcement supports the replacement date, while the live S.A.V.E. portal supplies the current search and alert choices.
Search Clark County Release Alerts
S.A.V.E. can search a person by full name, partial first and last name, or a known identifier. The service suggests the first three letters of each name for a partial search. Complete the captcha, then compare the displayed identity and status before opening a record. A similar name is not enough.
- Open the official NV S.A.V.E. portal.
- Enter the full name, a careful partial name, or known ID.
- Complete the captcha and review possible matches.
- Compare identifying details, facility, and custody or supervision wording.
- Open the matching record and read the status as a whole.
- Confirm a reported release or transfer with CCDC, the city jail, NDOC, or NPP.
The live portal image below shows the current entry point for Clark County search and notification registration.

S.A.V.E. includes Nevada custody and supervision information subject to participating-agency feeds. It does not replace the federal BOP locator or ICE system.
Clark County Alert Record Fields
The exact display can change, and agency feeds vary. Treat every field as a lead for confirmation. The distinction between custody and supervision is especially important after a person leaves a jail or prison building.
| Displayed item | How to read it |
|---|---|
| Name and identifier | Use both to avoid a same-name mismatch |
| Status | Distinguish custody, supervision, and an event notice |
| Agency or facility | Shows which office should verify the record |
| Event type | May indicate release, transfer, escape, or another change |
| Notification choices | Available call, email, or text methods |
| Update information | Shows why a later agency check may be needed |
A transfer alert does not mean return to the community. Parole can mean release from prison while state supervision continues. A custody no-result can also be inconclusive because a person no longer held may not display.
Register Clark County Release Notifications
Registration begins on the matching person’s record. S.A.V.E. permits an anonymous registration or an account. An anonymous user need not provide a name or unrelated personal details. Available delivery methods include automated telephone calls, email, text, or a combination shown by the portal.
- Select notifications from the verified person record.
- Continue anonymously or sign in to an account.
- Choose the available telephone, email, and text options.
- Enter the contact details needed for those methods.
- Save the confirmation or registration-management information.
- Call 1-866-393-5445 for 24-hour registration help if needed.
Alerts are free and offered in English and Spanish. Account preferences may include blackout days, but release notices are sent without delay despite those preferences. One registration may follow movements among participating Nevada custody and supervision agencies.

Historical VINE PIN Instructions
Under the former Nevada VINE service, telephone registrants created a four-digit PIN. After an alert, the recipient entered that PIN followed by the pound sign to acknowledge the call and stop repeats. Email registration did not use the phone PIN. Those instructions are historical.
Current S.A.V.E. users should save the confirmation information produced by the current portal. Do not invent a PIN or copy the retired process into a new registration. Account holders can manage preferences through the current service, while anonymous users should retain the details needed to manage their registration.
This distinction is the main Clark County angle behind the legacy VINELink query. The search term points to a real need, but the live Nevada destination and confirmation steps changed.
Clark County Alert Limits
S.A.V.E. says its information is updated periodically and is not an official record. NDOC also notes that transmitted data is not audited before display. Some local jails may be offline, and continuous coverage should not be promised. The portal supplies help when an agency feed is unavailable.
A person no longer in custody may not appear. An existing alert registration can remain active and update if that person returns. Therefore, no-result does not prove release, discharge, or the lack of supervision. Verify CCDC matters at 702-671-3900, state matters with NDOC, and supervision questions with NPP.
Verify Clark County Alert Events
An alert names a change, but the originating record explains what happened. For a CCDC event, call 702-671-3900 and ask whether the movement was community release or transfer. Request the actual date, time, disposition, and destination if a durable answer is needed. A live roster may already have removed the name, so the movement record is more useful than another name search.
For an NDOC event, use the official offender ID to compare Booking, Parole, and Release data. A release description may state parole, discharge, residential placement, or delivery to another authority. Those results are not interchangeable. NDOC Family Services at 775-977-5707 can route a date or identity discrepancy, while Sentence Management controls sentence computation.
Court minutes add legal context. The correct Clark County Justice, Municipal, or District Court may show a bond order, dismissal, judgment, probation, or commitment. Yet a court order is not the physical gate log. Match it to the jail or prison event before treating the alert as final.
Clark County Custody Versus Supervision
NV S.A.V.E. differs from the former VINE service because it can cover people in custody or under supervision. That wider scope helps after parole, but it also makes careful reading essential. A person can leave High Desert State Prison and remain under NPP supervision in Clark County. Another person can move to Casa Grande Transitional Housing and remain within a correctional placement.
| S.A.V.E. clue | Next verification |
|---|---|
| CCDC or city custody | Contact that jail for the movement record |
| NDOC institution | Check NDOC booking and release data |
| Parole or supervision | Compare NDOC release, Board action, and NPP |
| Transfer event | Search the named receiving custodian |
| No public result | Use the known jail, NDOC, NPP, or records office |
“Under supervision” does not mean the person remains inside a jail. It also does not mean every sentence obligation ended. The status describes a state relationship that should be confirmed through the responsible Nevada agency.
Clark County Jail Coverage Gaps
Clark County’s detention geography is fragmented. CCDC, Las Vegas, Henderson, and North Las Vegas operate separate systems. Mesquite has another municipal route, while Boulder City misdemeanor detainees may be housed at Henderson. S.A.V.E. can identify offline jails and supplies its help number, but no page should promise that every local agency sends a continuous feed.
If a search fails, return to the known arresting or holding agency. CCDC’s own page points readers toward other valley detention systems because the arrest location and charging authority affect placement. Search spelling also matters. Use the first three letters of both names only as a starting point, then verify an exact identity with an ID, date of birth where displayed and appropriate, case number, or booking number.
Juvenile and protected records require a different approach. CCDC excludes people under 18 and people in protective custody from its public search. A S.A.V.E. no-result must not be used to bypass those restrictions. Authorized parties should contact Juvenile Justice Services, counsel, the court, or the proper custodian.
Federal Clark County Release Alerts
S.A.V.E. does not replace the Federal Bureau of Prisons locator or ICE Online Detainee Locator. Use the BOP locator for a person serving a federal sentence. A former federal prisoner may remain listed as Released with a release date, but “not in BOP custody” can also mean another agency holds the person.
Henderson houses some U.S. Marshals and ICE detainees under contract. An alert or local jail movement can therefore describe transfer to federal or immigration custody. Use the federal court docket, responsible Marshals district, or ICE locator when the movement record supports that route. ICE’s strongest query uses the nine-digit A-number and country of birth.
Do not search federal systems for an ordinary county misdemeanor without a real federal event. These channels are fallbacks for a documented hold or transfer, not extra databases to query at random.
Formal Nevada Victim Notification
S.A.V.E. is supplemental. Formal NDOC or Parole Board victim registration may still be needed for notices governed by those agencies. A S.A.V.E. account or anonymous alert should not be assumed to replace mailed notice, a statutory registration, or direct contact with a victim-services unit.
Save the matching identifier, registration confirmation, chosen delivery methods, and support correspondence. Update contact details when the current system permits it. If an expected alert does not arrive, use the help line and verify the event directly instead of assuming nothing changed.
The Nevada Sex Offender Registry is also separate. It applies only to qualifying public registrants and may show a current registry image or location allowed by law. It does not prove a CCDC release date, cover every released person, or establish parole status. Each system should remain within its stated purpose.
Save Clark Alert Details
Record the person identifier, agency, displayed status, event type, portal update time, and notification confirmation. Those details make a support call precise and preserve what the system reported before a later update. Avoid saving unrelated personal information. The agency’s final record remains controlling.
